What are the hours for the transfer station?

The hours are 7:30 to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. April through October (1st Saturday only November-March).


How much does it cost to dump garbage?

Effective July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017, the cost of disposal for garbage is $55 per ton, minimum charge $6.00.


Is there a charge for trees, sticks and bushes?

Trees, brush and bushes are free for residents. Landscape companies charge is $5.00 per ton and a large job is $5.00 per ton.


Is there a charge for grass and leaves (yard waste)?

Grass and leaves can be taken to the compost pile free of charge.  All bags must be emptied and taken home.


How do I properly dispose of TV’s and computer monitors?

TV’s and monitors can be recycled at the transfer station.  The hard drive, key board, and the mouse are also accepted.

Residents can choose to recycle their monitors and TVs at the same cost or can landfill them.

What do I do with paint?

Look at the label on the can to see if it is latex or oil based paint.  Latex paint is soap and water cleanup.

You can dispose of latex paint by mixing it with kitty litter or oil dry.  Once the paint is dry, take the lid off and throw it in with your garbage. 

If it is oil based paint, bring it to the transfer station where it will be treated as a hazardous waste at no charge from households.
